Reiki
Conflict, trauma, stress, grief, and anxiety impact us on a somatic, spiritual, and emotional level. A skilled, trauma responsive practitioner can use Reiki to promote healing, relaxation, and comfort to address the deeper layers of our experience.
Reiki is energy work. It is a subtle and potent force that is easier to experience than describe. When done in person, the practitioner may "lay hands" on energy centers in the body to balance, clear, and restore energy. When practiced virtually, the practitioner may use sound or imagery to guide the client to a deeper state of awareness. Upon entering this state, clients frequently report physical sensations, deep relaxation, the feeling of being "held," and relief of physical pain or discomfort. Receiving spiritual insight, connection with the self, ancestors, or loved ones is also common. Reiki feels different for every person every time. It must be consensual, invited, and accepted in order to be experienced.
Breathwork
Breathwork is a powerful somatic tool that allows for deep processing and integration. Our practitioners will guide you through a three part breath pattern that dives deep into the body where our fears, traumas, and stories reside. As you breathe, your body enters a parasympathetic state. The parasympathetic nervous system regulates the body’s “rest and digest” functions. When the parasympathetic state is activated, our breathing and heart rate slow down, blood pressure lowers, and our body enters a state of relaxation and recovery. For many, our lifestyles tend to keep us in the sympathetic state, which regulates our body’s “fight or flight” response. Breathwork gives clients a chance to heal, process, and re-regulate with the guided support of a facilitator. Breathwork can be done in person or virtually in the comfort of your home.
“Natasha was warm which created a space where I felt comfortable and safe enough to relax and be present. She guided me to a healing and meditative space. After our session Natasha encouraged me to write about my experience and I often revisit my notes to remind me of moments of clarity and visions that brought me tenderness and joy.”
