Our Philosophy
Transforming Through Conflict
Moksha operates from the hope that reducing our reliance on oppressive systems is a path in the direction of liberation.
We aim to make mediation available as an option for people who have been historically excluded, disadvantaged, and harmed by the traditional American legal system. Our mediation services are thoughtfully and intentionally designed to support people for whom legal processes are not a safe or affordable option to achieve equity, fairness or justice.
Our approach to conflict centers repair, restoration, reflection, and accountability. Unlike traditional mediation, Moksha's unique process names and acknowledges power dynamics and focuses on healing from a multi-dimensional and multi-cultural lens.
Our Story
Natasha and Robin are connected by their commitment to bringing compassion, gratitude, and mindfulness to the journey of self-discovery and transformation. Throughout the years, their relationship has mirrored each other’s profound personal and professional growth. As they evolved as individuals, they also learned how to navigate their evolving relationship, witnessing how each new transformation brought them deeper layers of authenticity, acceptance, and wisdom. They cocreated Moksha with the intention to bring this same support, compassion, and mindfulness to others experiencing challenging growth and change. Moksha focuses on the holistic and relational aspects of conflict and how to address it with intentionality and awareness.
Robin and Natasha first met in law school, where they were drawn to one another’s emotional intelligence, depth, warmth, and resplendence. They maintained a connection fueled by nurturing each other’s creativity and supporting each other’s mental health, emotional wellness, and spiritual growth. Their experience in the legal world and their constant work to grow as empathetic individuals outside of that world make them especially skilled at helping clients navigate situations that may fall between the legal and non-legal realms.

— ALICE M.
“It was difficult, but we successfully reached agreement, thanks to the tremendous skill and patience of Robin.”
— MAYA B.
“The mediators were very skilled in holding space, asking for clarification, and making sure everyone had the chance to speak/respond.”
